If desired, the lighting can be permanently activated or deactivated. The wall clock does not require a power connection as it is equipped with a battery-powered quartz movement. It is powered by a 1.5 volt AA battery (not included). The quartz movement works pleasantly quietly and ensures reliable time display. Since it is a radio-controlled clock, the time is set automatically after the battery is inserted. The time is received via DCF-77 time signal and always keeps the time up to date, which means that there is no need to switch from summer to winter time.
